Apply for Permit
To apply for a Liquor Permit, click on the Apply for a new Permit link on the main page. You will be taken through the application process screen by screen.
On the bottom of each page are several button you can click to navigate:
navigates to the previous page.
navigates to the next page.
saves a draft version of the Application so you can return to it at a later time.
cancels the Application.
First select a Permit Type from the drop down box. If any Applicants/Permittees have already been associated with your account you can pick one by clicking on the button. Or create a new Permittee by selecting a Legal Entity Type from the dropdown box.
After you enter the required information, click the next button. Depending on the type of Permit you are applying for, certain additional information may be required. You will automatically be taken to various screens if applicable.
If there are any errors in you entry(ies) you will be presented with an Error screen.
To fix the error(s), click on the underlined Fix. You will be taken back to the page with missing or wrong information where you can correct the error.
If there are no errors, you will be taken to the Fee Details page.
Payment and Submission
For more information on how to pay fees and submit the application for processing see the Payment page.
If there are no fees, acknowledge the disclaimer and press the Submit Application button.
After the Application has been submitted a confirmation page will be shown.
The processing of the Permit Application will now be done by the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control. You will receive notification when the Application has been completed.
Submitted applications are listed under MY PERMIT APPLICATIONS UNDER REVIEW on the Permit Menu.
