Wizard Controls
On the bottom of each page are several buttons you can click to navigate:
navigates to the previous page.
navigates to the next page.
saves a draft version of the Application so you can return to it at a later time.
cancels the Application.
Step 1 - Amendment Type
Select the type of amendment you are applying for.
Note: Once you progress to the next step, you can not change the Amendment Type. If you chose the wrong amendment type, please Cancel the current application and start a new one.
Amendment Type must be selected to move on to the next step.
Step 2 - License
Select the license whose terms you wish to amend. You may only select one license per petition amendment application. You will not be able to select licenses that have a draft petition in progress or a draft petition amendment in progress.
Note: Once you progress to the next step, you will no longer be able to modify the license for which this amendment is for. If you chose the wrong license, please Cancel the current application and start a new one.
Step 3 - Terms
LICENSE INFORMATION
Details about the license you selected in the previous step.
CURRENT RELIEF TERMS
If the license has any previously granted or requested terms, it will be shown in a grid here. If no terms exist for the license, a message will display as such.
REQUEST RELIEF TERMS
This section will allow you to request changes to existing terms or add new terms.
Note: The available actions in this grid is determined by the type of amendment. Although all available actions will be explained below, not all of them will be applicable to your application.
Add Terms: New terms can be added by clicking the Add Term button. A Petition type must be selected and a Term Start year entered. New terms will automatically be placed in Pending status.
Cancel: Cancel is only available on the latest term in the grid. If you wish to cancel multiple granted terms, you must cancel them in order of newest to oldest. An Undo Cancel button is available after you click Cancel. Undo Cancel must be done in the opposite order of canceling: oldest to newest.
Delete: You may only delete new terms that were added as part of this amendment application. You cannot delete already-granted terms.
Term Start Year: You can edit the start year of the term if the term start year was incorrect. Term periods are automatically one year long.
New terms and terms that have been changed will be symbolized by the yellow card symbol at the beginning of the row.
FEES
If a change in requested terms causes a change in fees, it will be reflected in the fees section. Note that this is only an estimated fee total. Actual fee total may differ when end of application is reached.
Step 4 - Questions
A series of questions may be required for you to answer. You must answer all questions before continuing with the application.
Step 5 - Documents
Supporting documents can be uploaded to your application here. Certain document types may be required in order to submit your application successfully to NJ ABC
Errors
If there are any errors in your application, they will be displayed to you at this point. You will be required to rectify these issues before you can proceed to the application submission page.
Final Step - Submission
You must read and acknowledge the disclaimer before proceeding.
Once the disclaimer has been acknowledged, you must enter your Full Name before submitting the application.
If no fees are present, a Submit Application button will be available for you to submit your application immediately.
If fees are present, you can refer to the Payment page for more information on how to pay fees and submit applications.
Confirmation
After the application is submitted, a confirmation page will be shown.
The processing of the Petition Amendment will now be done by the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control. You will receive notification when the Petition Amendment has been completed.
Submitted amendments are listed under PETITIONS IN REVIEW on the Petition Menu.
